REALLY FAST OR A CAMERA TRICK WITH A SLOWER EXPOSURE.
Mitutoyo F805 CMM. (coordinate measurement machine)

This machine allows you to verify that the parts you machine are within tolerances specified by the

drawing or customer requirements.
Clausing-Colchester Lathe.

A very easy to use conventional lathe. 13" x 40" between centers. An ideal machine for smaller
turned parts. We
installed a Newall Digital Readout for accuracy and ease of use.
GT-26120 Lathe.

A 10 FT long conventional lathe. 26" swing x 120" between centers. This machine has a 4" bore
through the spindle and is well suited to larger lathe work and long shafts. A Newall Digital Readout
was added accuracy and ease of use.
Bridgeport Mill with Proto-Trax unit.

The Bridgeport milling machine is one of the most universal milling machines ever made. This machine has been
around since the start of time....(or at least as far back when to the time I first started machining). The Proto-Trax
upgrade ensures this machine will be around a lot longer. We can  program it to machine contours and bolt hole
patterns.
Micro-Cut Mill.

A conventional milling machine. It is slightly larger and a stronger than the bridgeport. The rig you see

bolted to the mill is a rotary table with a platen from our GMC lathe and some outriggers.
Once in a while we come across parts too large to turn...with this set up we can mill/turn 40" diameter parts.
We went down to Jeffrey's Manufacturing in North Carolina to buy our first CNC mill. We were
familiar with Haas CNC so we had a good idea of what we wanted with regards to size and capabilities and
that was a VF2. Fortunately for us Jeffrey's had the VF2-SS set up and running.

This machine was a new version of the VF2, The SS stands for Super Speed. 12,000 RPM spindle, 25 tool
capacity - side mount, probing system, 2 second tool change, look ahead features in the controller,  Visual
Quick Code programming to name a few of the features of this outstanding machine. Everything on the
VF2-SS was designed for fast machining and easy set up.
HAAS SL-30 CNC LATHE

This was the second machine we purchased through Jeffrey's. It was hard to make a decision on
the size lathe to purchase because we were not sure what type or size of work we would encounter.
Quote: "you can make small parts on large machines but can't make large parts on small machines"
so we made the choice...go large and buy a smaller CNC lathe later.

Specs: 36" between centers...17" swing....10" chuck....3" bore through the spindle with a 5 ft bar feeder.
We have machined parts from 1/16" to 17" diameter.
